Épines dorsales (Total): 3; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 7-8; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 6; Vertèbres: 38 - 39. Eye large, high and lateral. Snout rather pointed. Barbel small. Papillae on upper lip in 1 row; median papillae much larger; mental pad at middle, heart-shaped and with well developed papillae at margin. Caudal peduncle low and slightly long. Breast inside pectoral fins naked (Ref. 42952).
