Comments: The fecundity-length relationship refers to total fecundity assuming all oocytes in ovaries mature during spawning. However, oocyte distribution was multimodal and such asynchronous development of oocytes suggests multispawning of this species. The largest vitellogenic oocytes measuring 1.2 to 1.8 mm in diameter were observed only in April and May, coinciding with high GSI. Batch fecundity based on 9 specimens was not significant: Fb = 0.00036×SL^2.252; r2=0.255, p=0.247. (Ref. 84812).
