Comments: The eggs are deposited in gravel or sand nests. Larval life is long, about 3-5 years; adult life is brief. The parents die after reproduction. The eggs are not as big as those of Lampetra fluviatilis and hatch after 3 or 4 days of incubation. The larvae are blind and have no teeth. Gametogenesis starts before metamorphosis (Ref. 30578).
