Comments: Spawning takes place usually in water a few centimeters to 3 m deep in coves, mouths of inlets, approaches to outlets, swampy streams, ditches, flooded lowlands (Ref. 39106), slough areas and shallow tributaries with considerable bottom vegetation (Ref. 39114). Temperature conducive to spawning usually between 10°C and 15.5°C (Ref. 39106). Also Ref. 39115, 39116, 39108, and 39117.
