Additional Characters Eggs laid on dead coral branches, bare rock, man-made substrata (cables or shipwrecks); eggs guarded & cared for by males during incubation lasting for about 3 days at 26°-28°C or 4 days at 24°C. Newly hatched fry measure slightly under 2 mm TL & presumed to be pelagic for the first few weeks.
