Comments: | Introduced for ornamental purposes (Ref. 48787) as well as a biocontrol agent. Impacts on Australian endemic fishes have not been studied although where guppies and Gambusia affinis holbrooki are abundant, endemic fishes are rare (Ref. 12257).
