Definition of Term

beach
(English) A sloped sediment shoreline; composed of sand, gravel, cobble or boulder sized sediments; sometimes with beachrock. (See also: sediment shoreline, gravel, cobble)
plage
(French) Un rivage du sédiment incliné; composé du sable, couvert de gravier, galet ou galet classé selon la grosseur des sédiments; quelquefois avec du grès de plage. (See also: sediment shoreline, gravel, cobble)
