Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan (Ref. 4832) and Tibet (China) (Ref. 32617).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in hill streams.

Country info:  Occurs in the Northern areas (Ref. 40981), North-West Frontier Province, northern Punjab (Ref. 12076), NE Balochistan, and Azad Kashmir (Ref. 52665). Recorded from Swat and Zhob rivers in Chitral (Ref. 41236 ), Indus, Unar and Haro rivers (Ref. 41033). Common in Northern Areas and North West Frontier Province, and rare in Punjab and Balochistan (Ref. 57738). Also Ref. 4832, 51161.
