Max. size:  10.28 cm SL (male/unsexed); 7.6 cm SL (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 6 - 29 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaiian Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 71-75; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 49-52. Body very thin, thickness 3-3.65 in HL. Branched caudal rays 16. Head length 3.8-4.2 in SL (Ref. 48239).
Biology:  Occurs on sand or sand and rubble bottoms; most were collected from caves or at the entrances (Ref. 13070). Benthic (Ref. 58302).
