Max. size:  25 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m, oceanodromous
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean and Western Pacific: Andaman Sea to Samoa. Reported from the Ryukyu Islands (Ref. 559).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in neritic surface waters. Feeds on zooplankton and small fish (Ref. 9839).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from the Gulf of Tonkin and Central Vietnam (Ref. 9706); also from Nha Trang and Spratly islands (Ref. 58534).
