Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and New Guinea. Also known from Japan (Ref. 96269).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in brackish waters of tidal creeks and river mouths, usually among mangroves. Penetrates the lower reaches of freshwater streams within about 10 kilometers of the sea. Rests on mud, sand or gravel bottoms (Ref. 44894). Also Ref. 58652.
