Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6.5 - 7.5; dH range: 10
Distribution:  Asia: India and Bangladesh (Ref. 4832). Reported from Bhutan (Ref. 40882).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in clear mountain streams (Ref. 41236).

Country info:  Occurs in Assam, North Bengal, Rajmahal hills in South Bihar (Ref. 41236), West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh (Ref. 45255), Western Ghats of Maharashtra (Ref. 43641) and Tripura (Ref. 97593). Known from Ganges and Brahmaputra drainages (Ref. 4832). Also Ref. 31807.
