Family:  Mochokidae (Squeakers or upside-down catfishes), subfamily: Mochokinae
Max. size:  20.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: lower Congo River, including the rapids (Ref. 78218, 82238), and the middle Congo River basin from Pool Malebo to the lower parts of the rivers Kasai and Lukenie (Ref. 82238).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Oviparous (Ref. 205).

Country info:  Present in the lower Congo, including the rapids, from as low as Boma, in Pool Malebo (=Stanley Pool) and the lower parts of the rivers Kasai and Lukenie (Ref. 82238). Also Ref. 3202.
