Family:  Nemacheilidae (Brook loaches)
Max. size:  14.3 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 16.6 g
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: China and Viet Nam.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur in streams on the bottom (Ref. 26563). Length type refers to body length which is assumed in TL.

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Guangdong Province in the drainages of Han Jiang and its river mouth, Dong Jiang, Bei Jiang (Ref. 89718), Xi Jiang, and Moyang Jiang drainage and its river mouth (Ref. 33389). Also found in Zhujiang River (=Pearl River) system (Ref. 26563). Also Ref. 31517, 35840, 45679.
