Family:  Soleidae (Soles)
Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 80 - 100 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Chiba and Niigata Prefectures in Japan to the South China Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in sandy mud bottoms (Ref. 11230).

Country info:  Known from the South China Sea in Hainan, Guangxi, and Guangdong provinces, up to the East China Sea east of Sanmen (29ºN, 123º30'E), Zhejiang Province and east of Shanghai City (31º40'-50'N, 127º10'-20'E) (Ref. 33837). Known from the South China Sea in Tangjiawan, Jieshi of Guangdong Province, and Baimajing of Hainan province, also from Beihai of Guangxi Province(Ref.33837).
