Distribution:  Asia: Australia, Philippines and Indonesia. Collected from Sri Lanka (Ref. 92132).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Members of the genus Gobiopterus are found in fresh and brackish waters (Ref. 42915).

Country info:  Collected on March, 4th, 1998 in the Matara District between the villages Tangalla and Ranna in Rekawa Lagoon on the south east coast of Sri Lanka (Ref. 92132).
