Atlantic, Indian and Pacific: in tropical and subtropical waters. Absent in the Mediterranean and eastern tropical Pacific. Widespread throughout the Eastern Central Atlantic but recorded mainly between 30°N to 15°N; unknown from the Gulf of Guinea. |
