Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to the drainages in Hainan Island, China.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in hill streams, in backwater or sidewater without current during low water season in August (Ref. 46776).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Occurs only in Hainan Island, where it has been found at least in the Changhuajiang and Wangchuanghe basins (Ref. 46776). Also from Ref. 92840.
