Family:  Bagridae (Bagrid catfishes)
Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh (Ref. 4833). Reported from Afghanistan (Ref. 41034).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults inhabit rivers and ponds in plains and submontane regions (Ref. 41236) in flowing and standing waters (Ref. 4833). Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same family (Ref. 205).
