Max. size:  39.4 cm SL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 236.9 g; max. reported age: 5 years
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 70 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Korea and southern Japan to the Yellow Sea and South China Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in the sublittoral zone (incl. semi-enclosed sea areas) on sandy mud bottoms (Ref. 11230).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 10 September 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Shihman (occasional), northern Taiwan (Ref. 43538); also found in Tung-hsiao, Tai-chung, Lu-kang and Chang-hwa (Ref. 43515). Also Ref. 5193.
