Family:  Soleidae (Soles)
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: Thailand to Indonesia.
Biology:  A euryhaline species (Ref. 12041). Occurs along the bottom in estuaries and in the lower courses of rivers. Feeds on benthic invertebrates. Large individuals are sold separately and small ones are marketed fresh in mixed catches (Ref. 12693).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 02 July 2019 Ref. (124695)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Found in Mekong delta (Ref. 36625); reported from Song Hau Giang (a branch of the Mekong River also known as the Bassac River) (Ref. 87929).
