Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 360 - 800 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: East Africa to the western Pacific, south to Western Australia and New South Wales (Australia).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 167; Anal soft rays: 110; Vertebrae: 143. Brownish, median fins yellowish with black margin.
