Max. size:  34.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: from northern Peru to Colombia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in coastal shallow water in estuaries, mangrove swamps and to at least 20 m depth (Ref. 114953).
IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (VU); Date assessed: 24 February 2020 (A2cd) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
