Family:  Nemacheilidae (Brook loaches)
Max. size:  5.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to the Tigris-Euphrates basin.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal soft rays: 7-8; Vertebrae: 37-39. Body totally scaleless and with a dark longitudinal band along middle of flanks (Ref. 94765).
Biology:
