Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 5 - 19
Distribution:  Asia: Malay Peninsula, Thailand and Indonesia (Sumatra and Borneo).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in swamps and streams, usually among dense vegetation (Ref. 56749). Found in lowland swamps with acidic water (Ref. 57235). An air-breathing species (Ref. 118402). Aquarium keeping: minimum aquarium size 120 cm (Ref. 51539).
