Family:  Profundulidae (Middle American killifishes)
Max. size:  11.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: Guatemala, Mexico.
Biology:  Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 17 December 2018 Ref. (124695)
Threat to humans:  harmless
