Max. size:  20 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan and the southern Korean Peninsula. Reported from Taiwan (Ref. 12711).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Euryhaline (Ref. 37812). Occurs near shore on rock bottoms (Ref. 11230).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 10 June 2011 Ref. (123251)
Threat to humans:  poisonous to eat
