Max. size:  77 cm TL (female)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 320 - 410 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Chesterfield Islands (Ref. 11897) and Vate, Vanuatu.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 0-0. No conspicuous black tips on fins, no white spots on body (Ref. 247).
Biology:  Found on the insular slopes (Ref. 247). Probably ovoviviparous, with 3 young per litter (Ref. 247).

Threat to humans:  harmless
