Family:  Bagridae (Bagrid catfishes)
Max. size:  180 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and upper Myanmar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in rivers, ponds, lakes, channels and reservoirs (Ref. 4833). Predatory, adults feed on small fishes and worms (Ref. 44149). Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same genus (Ref. 205).
