Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Paraguay River basin, Paraguay.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom spawner, 6 months incubation. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
