Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India and upper Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-21; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Last dorsal spine osseous and serrated posteriorly; dorsal and pelvic fin rays branched; 14-15 predorsal scales; several open pores on either side of snout (Ref. 42977).
Biology:  A rare species (Ref. 4832).
