Max. size:  30 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Nam Theun of the Mekong basin in Laos.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 19-19; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-9. With 15 branched dorsal rays; 6 branched anal rays; mouth moderately wide, with broad lower jaw (width 17-20% in head length); fleshy lower lips; a bright orange to red caudal fin in life; possibly grows to about 30 cm SL.
