Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 922 - 1260 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: northern Gulf of Mexico (Ref. 13608) and northern coast of South America (Ref. 5217).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 21 June 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
