Max. size:  45.7 cm TL (male/unsexed); 27.3 cm TL (female)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 590 - 1000 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: off Peru and Chile.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 05 February 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
