Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Palawan, Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 3-4; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 55-61. Preserved color yellowish brown; a large dark lateral blotch between pectoral fin and lateral line; fins colorless. Dorsal and pelvic fins very small; pectorals short, its spine stout and sharp-pointed; long, wide anal fin free from caudal.
