Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: only known from the Ubangui River (middle Congo River basin), Central African Republic (Ref. 51287, 78218).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 34-36. Dorsal fin with only 5 rays and 4 pterygiophores (Ref. 51287). Anal fin with 4-6 unranched rays (Ref. 51287). Rhinal lobe very large (Ref. 51287).
