Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Cyprininae
Max. size:  12.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Barbels short and thin, rostral barbel not extending posteriorly as far as an anterior margin of eye, maxillary barbel reaching posteriorly to below middle or posterior 2/3 of eye. Predorsal scales 12; transverse scale rows 6.1.3 (Ref. 35912).
