Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Approuague River basin in French Guiana and Essequibo River basin in Guyana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Rather rare (Ref. 35381). Captured over sandy bottoms, in calm zones of large rivers inland. Often caught in groups, indicating a schooling behavior of this species (Ref. 27188).
