Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 18 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Queen Charlotte Islands in British Columbia, Canada to Diablo Cove in central California, USA.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 84-86; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 41-44. Caudal rounded.
Biology:  Found in the intertidal and subtidal, in exposed surge areas (tidal surge channels) and to 18 m depth.
