Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Atlantic Guinean slope, may possibly occur in coastal basins of Liberia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 27-32; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 32-37. Body depth 2.8-3.9 x SL. Caudal peduncle depth 15.7-22.6 x SL. Anal fin base 3.4-4.2 x SL. Eye diameter 2.8-3.9 x head length. Same coloration as P. tenuicauda. Same triangular spot in dorsal and V-spot on caudal. Anal with triangular spot.
Biology:  Affinities: appearance close to P. tenuicauda; difference in number of soft rays.
