Distribution:  Asia: Pre-Andean streams in Chile.
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 10-10. Differs from its congeners by gill rakers on first branchial arch 11+1+3 (vs. 13-14+1+5-7), and the following combination of characters: posterior border of maxilla reaching centre of eye; 3 predorsal bones; no supernumerary spine on first dorsal pterygiophore (rarely one); 4th or 5th dorsal fin spine the longest; 15-17 pectoral fin rays; 10 anal fin rays; 43-46 caudal fin rays; procurrent spur absent (Ref. 55324).
