Max. size:  18 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan to Taiwan. A specimen taken off Natal, South Africa is tentatively identified as Parapercis multifasciata.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 23-23; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 19-19
Biology:  Inhabits the sublittoral zone on sandy mud bottoms 9Ref. 11230).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 18 April 2022 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
