Diagnosis:  This species is distinguished from its congeners in the Levant by the following characters: with a complete lateral line; caudal fin deeply emarginatel; caudal peduncle narrow; male individuals with a suborbital groove; pelvic axillary lobe well-developed; flank with 5-7 dark-brown bars (Ref. 123817)
