Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 8, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka (Ref. 4832), Bhutan (Ref. 9418) and Myanmar (Ref. 57739).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur in streams and rivers along the base of hills (Ref. 4832) with pebbly and rocky bottom (Ref. 41236).
