Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Gulf Slope drainages from Enconfina Creek in Florida, USA to Pearl River in Mississippi and Louisiana, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits near vegetation in moderate to fast clear water over gravel and sand in permanent springs, creeks and small rivers.
