Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  6.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: lower Mwatsuma river drainage, Kenya.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in swamps and temporary pools (Ref. 3788). Bottom spawner, 2-4 months incubation. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
