Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6.5 - 7.5, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: probably in the upper Ruvu, Mpiji rivers and the lower Rufuji river drainage, eastern Tanzania.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom spawner, 2-4 months incubation. Is easy to maintain in the aquarium (Ref. 27139).

Threat to humans:  harmless
