Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 350 - 400 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Atlantic: Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 132-165. Posterior nostril is located on the dorsal side of the head midway between the posterior margin of the eye and supratemporal commissure; presence of median row of large teeth in the anterior part of the vomer (Ref. 42678).
Biology:  Benthic feeder.
