Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to the northern part of Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Plankton feeder (Ref. 54948). Breeding pair establishes its territory which is defended in a joint effort (Ref. 7343). Aquarium keeping: in pairs; minimum aquarium size 80 cm (Ref. 51539).
