Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7. Dorsal and pectoral spines with filamentous projections. Snout strongly projecting. Nasal barbel reaching the eye; maxillary barbel reaching anal fin. Anal fin with 2 simple rays and 8 branched rays (Ref. 40780).
